If you didn't know the Dungeons & Dragon's rules for 2024/2025 include rules on building bastions, you can read my quick summary here. I've been hard at work reading the rules on bastions and drawing out the basic and special facilities, including empty rooms.

I'm happy to say that I've finally completed a set of bastion rooms designed for the spellcaster in your party! Calling all Wizards, Artificers, Sorcerer, and Warlocks your new digs are ready.

I've generically titled the pack the Mage's Retreat and it includes several of the special facilities that are accessible to the classes that have the ability to use a Spellcasting focus (and before you come after me about the other spellcaster classes that aren't mentioned above, yes they can use many of these facilities as well...I know.)

The Mage's Retreat includes the following special facilities:

  • Arcane Study (Roomy)

  • Archive (Roomy)

  • Demiplane (Vast)

  • Garden (Roomy)

  • Laboratory (Roomy)

  • Library (Roomy)

  • Observatory (Roomy)

  • Scriptorium (Roomy)

  • Teleportation Circle (Roomy)

ree

Each of these facilities has been designed to be compatible with your favorite Virtual Table Top (VTT) or to be printed out on a standard sheet of printer paper (8.5 x 11 in). For reference, the roomy facilities are 5x5 in. and the vast facilities are 7 x7 in.

Some of the facilities can be expanded from roomy to vast and I promise that I am working on those sizes and there will be an update when those facilities are ready.

In the meantime, you can get the Mage's Retreat Pack over on my Patreon. Patrons in all paid tiers get access to the releases for free, otherwise you can pick it up in the Perilous Paws Cartography Patreon Store. You can also see my other items there...which we think are pretty cool!
